We're up to five States now!

5th Feb 2026

We're back on track after last week's winter storm.  We're not used to eight inches of snow and 40mph winds - that coupled with the realllly cold temps have made this one of the most interesting winter season's we've had here on the Farm. But neverthless, we press on with our 2026 Fifty States Project. To recap our current 'journey' we've visited Alaska, Rhode Island, Delaware, and now Missouri and Washington State. When I was much, much younger we flew in from overseas and stopped in St. … read more

Next two States - Delaware and Rhode Island

21st Jan 2026

Since the flu put us a little bit behind we're doing a two-fer this week ... But better late than never! So for our first State artwork for 2026 Tricia and I randomly decided to start with the last State to join the Union, Alaska!  We've never been to Alaska, but we do have many customers there, and sin … read more

50 States in 50 weeks!

1st Jan 2026

Happy New Year!  And thanks to all our great customers (and partner galleries and stores!) for a great 2025! Tricia and I are big history buffs.  As many of you know, we live in Virginia where a lot of our Country's history started.  The road in front of our farm has appeared on maps as far back as the 1620's, and we've grown up visiting Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown.  We've collectively visited almost every State in the Union, and we thought it would be fun t … read more

Back in the Spring of 1998 Tricia and I receieved a call from a Gallery in Arizona.  It was called Sweet Liberty in Phoenix, and we had done some custom commissioned work for them in the past.  The owner called us to inquire if we were able to carve a Rhino Baseball player.  Apparently the Chicago Cubs Spring Training facility was in nearby Mesa, and the wife of a player had asked if we could do this for her husband in time for Father's Day.  At first when Tricia told me abou … read more
