50 States in 50 weeks!

Happy New Year!  And thanks to all our great customers (and partner galleries and stores!) for a great 2025!

Tricia and I are big history buffs.  As many of you know, we live in Virginia where a lot of our Country's history started.  The road in front of our farm has appeared on maps as far back as the 1620's, and we've grown up visiting Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown.  We've collectively visited almost every State in the Union, and we thought it would be fun to put that knowledge and our abilities to work.

With this being our Country's 250th anniversary or the semisesquincennial - as Tricia reminds me- we thought we'd do something different this year:  Creating one (or more!) original artworks based primarily on what makes each US State unique.  It might be a painting, or a carving, or a mixture of both; or even a piece of furniture inspired by the some piece of history in that State.

Each week we'll showcase a new work, focused on a different State.  We won't go in any sort of order, but rather we'll let our inspirations choose which path we take.

The journey starts next week, so check back often to see what we've come up with for your State!
