Three Points Design is an art and design company based in Virginia Beach, VA. Founded by Jac and Patricia Johnson based on their success as decoy artists with their brand Back Bay Decoys.
In business for over 30 years, we've worked for companies from Disney to Pendleton Home as well as celebrities, CEO's and professional athletes - and have work in homes and collections in all 50 states and 5 different countries.
Our focus is on creating 100% Made in America works of art, utilizing materials solely sourced from the US, and as local and sustainable as possible. We strive to be as close to zero impact as possible, and reuse up to 95% of our wood and scrap, and incorporate as many 'up-cycled' inputs as possible. All our pieces are made of solid wood, usually Atlantic White Cedar, and are hand carved and hand painted.
We derive inspiration from the forests, fields and waters around our farm and our studio, and strive to incorporate American myths and legends into our work. Recycled barn boards become whales and fish for Jonah, driftwood becomes a perch for a pelican or shorebird, and sustainably harvested and locally sourced lumber becomes owls and ospreys.
